Students, Faculty and Staff may request a change to their gender as it is listed in their personal information within Illinois State University systems.

Self-Service

If you wish to update your Personal Information (including gender) yourself without going in person, please refer to the following information:

1. Login to https://my.ilstu.edu
2. Once logged in, select My Profile on the top right of the page
3. Scroll down to Manage My Personal Information
4. Select Personal Details
   1. This will open a new page within Campus Solutions
      
5. Select the Biographic tab at the top of the page
   
6. In the Biographic Details section under Other Orientation, you may update the following personal details:
   • Gender
   • Other Identity
   • Preferred Pronouns
     • NOTE: Make sure to press save after making your changes!

Students

Students may request to change their gender as listed in their personal information by visiting the Office of the Registrar in person in Moulton Hall 107. You will be asked to fill out a request form.

Faculty/Staff

Faculty and staff may request to change their gender as listed in their personal information by visiting Human Resources in person at the Nelson Smith Building 101.
