Max Connection Error in the Housing and Dining Portal

The Housing and Dining Portal is available to students who have been admitted to the University. There is a user limit in the Housing and Dining application portal, also known as StarRez. If the maximum number of users are currently logged in to the portal, any new logins will be blocked until the user count falls below the limit. After the limit has been reached, students attempting to log in will receive the following, or similar, error message "The server is experiencing increased load at the present time, and no more logins are allowed. Please try again in a few minutes." (Figure 1).

If you receive the error, please close your browser and try signing in again. You may need to wait a few minutes before retrying.
