Overview of TimelyCare

TimelyCare is an online teletherapy resource available around the clock (24/7) to all students at Illinois State University. Students who login to TimelyCare can speak with someone immediately using the Talk Now button, or they may schedule an appointment.

Student Counseling

The TimelyCare service is supplemental to the care offered by Student Counseling Services on campus. Students may choose to speak with a licensed provider on campus and in person by contacting Student Counseling Services to schedule an appointment.

Logging in to TimelyCare on the Web

To login to TimelyCare, do the following: 

  1. Go to https://illinoisstate.timelycare.com/
  2. Enter your Illinois State email address (ulid@ilstu.edu) into the Email Address field and click Continue. You will be redirected to Central Login. 
  3. Login with your ULID and password.

Who can use TimelyCare?

TimelyCare is a resource for all students, including those who attend classes on campus, online learners, study abroad, etc. If you are taking at least one class at Illinois State University, you are considered a student, which means you have access to TimelyCare. This includes employees (faculty, staff, civil service extra help, etc.) who are taking at least one class. Employees who are not enrolled in any classes will receive an error message when they attempt to login to TimelyCare (see below).  

"Something went wrong" Error

If you are not enrolled in classes as a student, you will get an error message that says, "Something went wrong," when you attempt to login.

TimelyCare offers the features described below. These features are available in both the TimelyCare mobile app and website.

After logging in to TimelyCare, press the Talk Now button to be immediately connected to a licensed provider you can speak with. 

Schedule an Appointment

If you have a preferred provider or a preferred date and time, you can also schedule an appointment through TimelyCare.
