Adding Content to Resources in ReggieNet

Instructors can make files, websites, and other resources available to the students in their classes through the Resources tool in ReggieNet.

Before You Begin

Instructors can make content available to students in the Resources tool of ReggieNet. This tool allows you to upload files, link to websites, create HTML documents, and create text documents. Documents can also be organized in folders. After adding content to Resources, it is available to students in the class. For more information regarding Reggienet please review the following article:

You must be an instructor with a course in ReggieNet to complete these instructions.

Resources

You can do several things with the Resources tool of ReggieNet. To access Resources, do the following:

  1. Go to https://reggienet.illinoisstate.edu/ and log in.
  2. Select the course from the Site Navigation at the top of the page (you may need to press on [More Sites] to locate the site).
  3. Select [Resources] in the left navigation bar.
  4. To upload a file, add a web link, create an HTML document, or create a text document, refer to the instructions below.

Upload a File

To upload a file to Resources in ReggieNet, do the following:

  1. Go to [Resources] as described above.
  2. Select [Actions] > [Upload Files].
  3. If you have a File Explorer window open, you can browse to the file(s) you want and drag and drop them to the designated space on the page; or, press in that space and browse to the desired file(s).
  4. Select [Continue].

Add Web Link

To add a link to a website in the Resources tool in ReggieNet, do the following:

  1. Go to [Resources] as described above.
  2. Select [Actions] > [Add Web Links (URLs)].
  3. Enter the web address for the website you want to link to in ReggieNet.
  4. Enter a name for the website.
  5. Select [Add Web Links Now].

Create HTML Page

To create an HTML page (i.e. a web page) in the Resources tool of ReggieNet, do the following:

  1. Go to [Resources] as described above.
  2. Select [Actions] > [HTML Page].
  3. Use the rich text editor to create the content. You can add links and pictures to your page, and you can use bold, italics, bulleted and numbered lists, and other styling options.
  4. When you are done, press [Continue].
  5. Enter a name for your HTML page.
  6. Select the appropriate copyright status.
  7. Leave all other options as their defaults (unless you have a reason to change them).
  8. Press [Finish].

Create Text Document

To create a text document in the Resources tool of ReggieNet, do the following:

  1. Go to [Resources] as described above.
  2. Select [Actions] > [Create Document].
  3. Enter the contents of your document in the box.
  4. When you are done, press [Continue].
  5. Enter a name for the document.
  6. Select the appropriate copyright status.
  7. Leave all other options as their defaults (unless you have a reason to change them).
  8. Press [Finish].
