As an instructor, you can use the Faculty Center to download the list of students in the classes you teach.
- Select the [Class Roster]icon next to the class for which you wish to download the roster.
- Click on the [download] icon on the header bar at the top of roster.
- The roster will download as an Excel file.
NOTE: When you download your class roster, the student photos will not be included.
.XLS File Format Error
After downloading your class roster from the Faculty Center and attempting to open the downloaded file, you receive an error stating, “The file format and extension of ‘ps.xls’ don’t match. The file could be corrupted or unsafe. Unless you trust its source, don’t open it. Do you want to open it anyway?” (Figure 1).

If you receive this error, you may go ahead and click [Yes] to open the file. It is safe to do so.
If Your Class Roster Displays as a Blank Excel Worksheet
If your class roster does not display data in Excel, please follow the steps in KB Article 3232: Changing Excel Security Settings.
