Overview of Sway in Office 365

Sway is an application, which is used to create and share interactive reports, presentations, personal stories and more. Sway allows for text and media to be combined into a presentable website.

About Sway

You may bring your Sway to life with interactive multimedia content. Sway is a digital storytelling app that makes it quick and easy to create and share interactive reports, presentations, personal stories, and more. Add text and images from your OneDrive or your device, or snap them right into Sway with your built-in camera. You can also add videos, maps, tweets, Vines, interactive charts, graphics and GIFs.

Sway is synced through the cloud, making it easy to view and edit across your devices. Family, friends, classmates, and coworkers can see your creation on the web without signing up for, or downloading, additional software, which makes it easy to share and collaborate. Users can share editing rights with others and/or change privacy settings for more control.

How to Access Sway

  1. Navigate to office365.illinoisstate.edu.

  2. Log in to Office 365 with your Illinois State email address and password.

  3. Launch the Sway app.

  4. Click the [Get Started] button.

  5. Select either [Create New] or [Import] to begin your Sway project, report, or story.

Using Sway

While using Sway, searches are suggested to help you find relevant images, videos, tweets, and other content. You can then drag and drop the content right in to your creation.

With Sway’s built-in design engine, instantly transforming your Sway with great designs is easy.
