Audio
Last modified 10/5/2023
Audio can include music, podcasts, and other media which is presented only through sound. For those who may not be able to hear the audio, provide a transcript near the original media.
Transcripts
Transcripts are text versions of audio content. The dialogue should be copied accurately. If possible, include identification of speakers, descriptions of music, and important sound effects. When used as an alternate format, a transcript should be available near the video or audio it represents.
3rd Party Transcript Services
Currently, Illinois State does not have a campus-wide license for a transcription service. If you or your office need transcription services, 3rd party sources for transcriptions will require payment. Students needing to arrange a reasonable accommodation for a documented disability and/or medical/mental health condition should contact Student Access and Accommodation Services for assistance.
